Frequently Asked Questions
How many treatments do I need?
The number of treatments varies from person to person. Hair growth cycles differ on different parts of the body. Your skin, hair color, coarseness of hair as well as age and metabolism all influence hair growth.
How will I benefit?
- Hair is permanently reduced
- No more shaving, tweezing, waxing or bleaching
- No downtime
- Non-surgical
- Small areas can be treated in less than 10 minutes
- Larger areas can be treated in less than 30 minute
What do I need to know?
Pre-Treatment
- Do not tan or use sunless tanners 3 weeks prior to treatment and throughout the duration of the treatment
- Shave the treatment area the day of your appointment
- Do not wax or tweeze within 3 weeks prior to your appointment
- Treatment area should be clean of any lotions, makeup, sun block, perfume, or any other skin care products
Post~ Treatment
- Treated area may appear pink or red for a day or so afterwards; along with some mild swelling (can be soothed with aloe gel or ice packs)
- The treated hair will continue to appear for 7 ~ 30 days post~treatment. This is not new hair growth, but the treated hair being expelled from the follicle
- At any given time, some of the hair is not in a phase of active growth, therefore you will need more than one treatment to affect the growth of the hair
- Hormones and menopause may stimulate additional hair growth, therefore additional treatments beyond the series may be necessary
